Established in 2006 Just Desserts are an independent rural business delivering artisan cakes and slices to cafes, delicatessens, farm shops and outdoor caterers throughout Somerset and Devon.
Mixed with care and attention in small batches we create high quality handmade cakes from the finest light fluffy sponges to well established favourites such as salted caramel brownies, raspberry frangipane, peppermint slices.
We also like to try new ingredients and offer something slightly different like Rose Orange and Lavender Cake. Our range also includes ‘Gluten and Dairy Free’ cakes as well as ‘Vegan Slices’.
We never settle for second best when it comes to our ingredients, we use organic flour, freshly squeezed and zested fruit (and fresh vegetables in our carrot and courgette cakes). We freely use ground almonds and walnuts in our recipes, while our icings are naturally coloured wherever possible. We use butter in all of our flapjacks,
brownies and traybakes – we do not compromise!
We believe that happy chickens make happy eggs, so that’s why we use free range eggs (which are supplied locally) – the best eggs make the best cakes. We also make our own jams to fill our Victoria Sponges. We make our own lemon curd for our lemon drizzle cakes too.
